A Non-Invasive Injectable that Gets Rid of Wrinkles

  • Is a simple, non surgical treatment that improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, with minimal to no downtime.
  • The duration of this procedure is approximately 15-20 minutes, and the results can last approximately 3-6 months.

Pre - Treatment:

What you do during (Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, & Daxxify) is not as important as what you do before and after, but here are some things you should keep in mind:

  • Stop taking medication that can thin the blood – A week before you get injections, stop taking: Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Excedrin, St. John’s Wart, Vitamin E, Fish oil or Omega-3s, Ginkgo Biloba, and Ginseng. This will minimize any potential postbruising. If you must take pain medication, Tylenol is recommended. Also, avoid drinking alcohol a few days prior to your procedure. Before stopping any of the above medications, please contact your primary care physician.
  • If you are taking antibiotics/steroid, you must wait two weeks after your last pill before receiving any type of treatment.
  • If you are taking a blood thinner, please contact your cardiologist before stopping any medication.
  • Go au naturel – Your skin will be cleaned with rubbing alcohol or an antiseptic before you get (Botox, Dysport, Xeomin & Daxxify), so feel free to show up to your appointment with nothing on your skin. If you wear makeup, we will remove it.
  • Stay still but pay attention – If you are afraid of needles, don’t make yourself writhe with discomfort by thinking about them. Set your mind on something random, like monkeys juggling pineapples. The procedure will be over before you know it.
  • Be transparent with your practitioner – For your safety, tell us as much about your medical history as possible so we can determine whether you are a good candidate to receive cosmetic injectables. Tell us: What medication you are taking, what allergies you have, if you have any medical conditions, illnesses, or diseases, and anything else you can think of.

Post - Treatment

Here are some things you should and shouldn’t do after getting (Botox, Dysport, Xeomin & Daxxify) injections:

  • Avoid manipulating or rubbing the area of the injection site for two weeks.
  • Stay upright for 4 hours after treatment.
  • Avoid strenuous physical activity for 24 hours. Exercise right after (Botox, Dysport, Xeomin & Daxxify) may reduce the results. Exercise increases blood flow through the muscles and can potentially diffuse the (Botox, Dysport, Xeomin & Daxxify).
  • Avoid extensive sun or heat for 72 hours.
  • Avoid consuming large amounts of alcohol.
  • Avoid getting facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, etc. for 2 weeks after the treatment.
  • Topical vitamin K and Arnica can help bruises.
  • While you may see results in as little as 48 to 72 hours after injection, this is not typical. Majority of patients do not notice full impact from the treatment for 7 to 14 days. You should wait at least 15 days before deciding if you want additional treatment to avoid overtreating an area.
  • Although exceptionally rare, an allergic reaction to (Botox, Dysport, Xeomin & Daxxify) is possible. If you notice skin redness of an extreme nature, excessive swelling, or a developing rash, call the office immediately or arrange to be seen by a physician. The same is necessary if you experience puffy or very swollen eyes, a severe headache, or other adverse reactions.
